Starting at the Victoria Cannabis Buyers Club, these guided journeys take participants to the courthouse and library, through the beautiful Inner Harbour, past the B.C. Legislature and into the magical Beacon Hill Park.
Full of tales of mischief and heroism, this experience will dive into the real life experiences of patients and cannabis advocates fighting the authorities while walking through one of the most beautiful cities in the country.
Legendary cannabis activist Ted Smith will be taking participants to 9 different locations through downtown Victoria where he and his friends have been arrested, or almost got arrested, before and after legalization.
Few advocates across the country have experienced such a diverse range of experiences fighting the law on the streets and in the courts. Fewer still have had as much success.
Ted has some got stories to tell and you’ll want to hear them.

We start the tour at 2 pm sharp, though the first location is where the stories begin so we do not take off right away. Gather at the front of 1625 Quadra.
The journey takes just over 2 hours, ending in Beacon Hill Park at 4:20 pm.
The $25 fee ($20 for VCBC members) can only be paid for in cash.
If you wish to smoke herb along the way, please bring it, along with any papers, lighters or other supplies you may need.
We will be passing by one legal dispensary on Johnson Street but we do not want to delay the entire tour for someone to get a few joints.
If you wish to become a member of the VCBC before the tour, please come at 1pm with your documentation to give us time to sign you up properly.
There are a couple of public washrooms along the way but try to use the facilities at the VCBC before the tour begins to avoid any issues.
There are only a few stores near the route, so make sure you bring a full bottle of water.
The walk is for a few hours so wear proper footwear.
You might want to bring some munchies for after 4:20.
Be prepared for wind and sun but if it is going to rain we will cancel.
